I’m at Style Key West today thinking about “fearless” design.
Please do drop by!
I just love children’s songs chanteuse, Laurie Berkner. I see her little videos on Nick Jr. (which I still tend to call, Noggin) all the time and they always charm me.
I sing a lullaby version of Shady Tree to my kids and imagine that I’ll do the same for my grandchildren someday.
But if I had to pick my absolute favorite tune, it would be this absolutely adorable one about slowing down to smell the roses:
Have a case of The Mondays? Watch two of these and call me in the morning.
How cute are these cards?
Every other August, tourist flock to the Grand Palace in Brussels to view a massive carpet of begonias. Over a hundred gardeners are required to complete the project and it’s all done in under four hours.
New to me blog, Wide Open Spaces featured these incredible images:
Designer, artist, decorator and accessories dealer, Victoria Molinelli was recently featured on Style Court. And I have to say, I find her fascinating. She does it all.
Of course it comes as no surprise that I’m quite taken with her interior renderings…
I love these textiles from a local (for me here in the DC area) designer, Camilla David Textiles:

I love all of the texture and the colors would work for varied styles. I wish the website had more than small swatches…but a Google search pulled some of the images above.
Lovely.
Sadly – I am not.
So I’m passing on the tip: two beautiful vintage dresses are currently available at Brook & Lyn right now (and one is going for peanuts!):

I think I might actually like the cheaper one better. Now THAT is unprecedented.
That these super cute bird vases are on sale at Reverie Daydream right now:

Check out the sale here – but I dare you to visit the site without thinking about buying one of these full prices items…
If so – you can now have a good cry over not buying this before it was sold to someone else earlier today.
Sorry for the late start this week. I’ve been pretty busy with kid-related stuff that no one tells you about when you decide to get pregnant. FYI – the What to Expect books don’t mention anything about school IEPs or back to back Kindergarten orientations and preschool open houses… Colic? HAH! Sleep training? I could do that in my sleep (….?)
Anyway – enough bellyaching. Visit me at Style Key West today for some of this:
