Beau Monde (and a great discount!)

I’ve featured lovely hairbands and clips from Andrea’s Beau several times over the past year that Wishing True has been in operation (I think I have an anniversary coming up…must check on that…)

And I just received notice that they have a new blog: Beau Monde

AND in honor of their new project, they’re offering a 20% discount through April 21 (two more days until it ends). Need a little flower for your hair this Spring?

Introducing: The Gracie

As a longtime admirer of BeeGee Bags and their elegant line of clutch handbags, I am THRILLED to be the proud new owner of not one, but two bags from the new “Gracie” style.

A little while ago, they did a promotion for their FaceBook fan page, and by sending them more fans, existing fans could receive a lovely new bag. For free.

The truth is, I have been telling everyone I know about BeeGee for-like-ever, so this was really no hardship on my part.

BlahBlahBlah – I know, get on with it already…(just trying to meet those full disclosure requirements you now…) ANYWAY – here are some images I pulled from the website of some gorgeous Gracies:

Want to see mine? Of course you do!

I’ve been wanting that orange mum print ever since I first saw it in another style.

Love this line and LOVE the fabulous designer, Brooke Galardi. There is nothing better (in shopping at least) than buying good stuff from good people. Get your own BeeGee bag HERE.

If This Doesn’t Make You Want to See it…

I have to admit – I’m a pretty easy sell on anything S&TC. It took me at least three seasons to give it a chance, but once I did, I was hooked (I believe that my friend Christy lent me her VHS tapes? That’s it – we’re officially dinosaurs.)

And now a new movie is on it’s way. Not that into it? Watch this – and tell me if you aren’t just even the teensiest bit intrigued:

Oh yeah…and I’m a Charlotte. You?

Sweet Giveaway on Reverie Daydream!

In honor of her birthday month (which is also mine!), sweet Mel of Reverie Daydream is giving away this wonderful set of handmade and signed French Patisserie note cards from her shop:

I have a good feeling about winning this one… But you may as well enter too, you know – just in case.

Speaking of giveaways…today is the last day to enter mine for former Project Runway finalist, Laura Bennett’s signed copy of Didn’t I Feed You Yesterday? Run – don’t walk!

Perfection in Pink and Blue

Remember that scene from Sleeping Beauty when the fairy godmothers are fighting over whether Aurora’s dress should be pink or blue? And then again at the end while she’s dancing with her prince, her dress flashes between the two colors?

That’s kind of how I feel about this (my new favorite) painting by Kelley MacDonald.

I love the colors and I can’t decide which one dominates…maybe it’s like the dress, and the two together are what makes it so extraordinary.

Mini Not-Quite-Me

While contemporary interiors aren’t exactly my thing… I must say that I do love them in mini-form:

Do you love modern design? Read this New York Times article about how other enthusiasts satisfy their cravings for expensive modern spaces by indulging in the miniature version.

I’m still a Victorian dollhouse girl at heart – but in my book, anything tiny is quite lovable.
