Polarn O. Pyret: A Giveaway and Some Boring Home Movies of My Kids

This morning, I got a little slap on the hand from BlogHer for hosting a giveaway above a certain price point on a page displaying their ads (seems I’m not so good at reading the fine print on contracts). So I had to take a break from my blogging black out week to move that post HERE.

I’ll be taking entry comments both here and on the new post, so no need to comment a second time if you’ve already done so. Sorry for the confusion.

Okay – back to my vacation!

Oh I **love** Polarn O Pyret, especially their oh-so-Scandanavian, oh-so-simple-yet-so-stylish striped line! Unfortunately, I am also extremely cheap about buying nice clothes for the kid. So, fingers crossed!

We call our daughter "Bunny" more often than we use her actual name, so of course we'd have to go for the rabbit.

On the extra entry front, I guess I've already raved about their striped collection. I have a mental image of a little one dressed in one of their striped items and holding the toy bunny with the striped shirt. (There are also red shoes involved, in my stylish little mental image.) Adorable!

OK! So I am a dork! They actually have great stuff for boys up to 11 years old—so now I am putting my give-away hat on and digging in to win!!

I love the green large stripe for boys and the hoodies—oh, so adorable!!

Your videos are cracking me up. I hardly ever use ours because most of the time it's just me, herding cats, I mean, boys.

So freaking cute – especially the somersault and the interpretive dancing in best buy! Love those kids!

I'd totally want the sheep, of course!

Where to start.. first, when I saw the title of this post I was a little concerned.. is it just me or does the company name sound just a bit like "Porno Priate"? That said I was relieved and amused to see that your kids are just as uncoprative (can't freaking spell today!) as mine! We'd have a great time here with the rabbit. As #3 of my four kids is nicknamed Rabbit and HE would NEVER wear that but his younger sister #4 would LOVE it and that would cause WWIII here. I can hear it already "I'm the Rabbit now, ha ha", "You are NOT Rabbit, I AM!"… "See I get to wear the Rabbit, so I'm the Rabbit".. WHAP! WHAAA.. MOMMY!!!! fun for all! OH btw I LOVE the drawstring Tunic and striped A-Line dress.. do they make them in big fat mommy size? OF COURSE NOT!

You should be thankful! I made my mother redo my French braids 90 times before I would ever leave the house.

Yes, I was high maitenance, even then…

Kate – your kids are adorable. It was great to see them in action. And to hear your voice. You sound like such a nice Mommy. I never sound that nice in a store. I am always screaming at someone to stop touching something.
Love the clothes, Eleanor looks adorable in the rabbit. I don't know if I could get spencer into those. He wants to wear all of Andrew's clothes now. I love the stories of your kids. Keep them coming. Makes me feel like I am not the only crazy one out there. Maureen

i wonder what the other shoppers thought of you videotaping your kids in best buy! oliver is adorable and i loved his dance moves.

i couldn't find a picture of the duck shirt but we like ducks so i'd go w/that one AND of course if i win i'd have to buy another one (sheep) so no one is slighted.

I like the sheep one the best. Cute stuff!

I went on their site and I like all the stripes. For some reason, we like stripes at our house. Just ask my husband. I'm not sure he owns a casual shirt that isn't striped. :)

Ok, best line ever: "okay, boys, don't touch anything." This is my mantra when we leave the house. Love all the videos.

    I'm thinking bunny for us.

Don't enter me in the contest, but I just wanted to say your kids are absolutely beautiful. This is my first time at your blog. I came here from fadkog's blog. :)

Just catching this now since I too am away and not doing very much blogging.

Those are so cute, I wish my kids were still small enough to wear them. I do have a new nephew who'd look quite dashing in a bunny shirt though ;-).

Have a great, safe trip. Catch you next month.
