And I have only myself to blame since she convinced ME to buy this for her.

Look how happy she is. :) I don't like character clothing either, but I figure no one else is going to see their pjs…unless their dad takes them to Chick-fil-a in them…don't ask. ;)
I'm the same as Amanda…don't like character clothing. PJ's are OK, as long as I don't buy them for her. If they are hand me downs, she's welcome too them!
I'm sure your daughter feels like a princess herself in the PJ's. She's adorable!
Both of my boys frolicked under the sprinklers in Sponge Bob bathing suits courtesy of my MIL.
We all turn to the dark side eventually.
We have way too much princess stuff in our house now…but it makes her so happy!
Ha!!!!!!
Don't you love the slippery/snaggy polyester, too???
LOL!!!
she is happy so i guess the bleeding is worth it!!!
Wow. Just wow.
Aww, you're just a sucker for making your daughter happy and you know it! Just don't let her wear it out in public. Please! Hahaha!
She's just adorable, that's all there is to it!
(My nieces are obsessed with the princess thing. I am not sure it is actually avoidable…)
PS- And in some cruel twist of fate, my word verification is Pigless. Is blogger trying to tell me something?
hahah…she looks great. Hope she's not acting like a princess.
Isn't it so funny how we do things that we would *never* do, all for the sake of those little mosters that have our hearts!?!?
I swore that no child of *mine* would ever wear something as revolting as a polyester nightgown with nasty tulle on it….. and now she has 4 of them. One of them is even velour polyester. Cringe.
Isn't being a Mom the best?!?!?!
I am right there with you. I hate, and I mean for years, the evil overlord that is Disney. They make me want to puke.
Two years ago my CA native-born husband talked me into becoming a season pass holder to that shithole of misery in Anaheim. I hate that place with the burning passion of a thousand suns!!!
But, but, but, but, I did it for the kids. My children LOVE it.
Shit!
But look at her face – she loves it! I've been meaning to ask you – how did you get her to wear the LOL stuff from target in your other pix? Did you tell her they were from her neighbor crush?
Ah, the joys of raising girls in the age of princess everything.
Oh, I so don't look forward to those days. I secretly plot ways I can hopefully avoid it!
But she does look so darn happy!!
You're a good mama. ;-)
I have some dress up handmedowns to send you when you're ready. Oh just wait.
Lightening McQueen shoes. We own them. I hear you.
Phoebe had the exact same nightgown. I threw up in my mouth when I was buying it and every time I saw it after that.
I'm here with reassurances. My daughter had something very similar and now she's totally character-free. Really. There's hope. By the way, does that come in extra huge? Because it would really bring out my girly side.
Now that is gorgeous!
My Mum would never buy me those plastic heels when I was younger and I am still traumatised by it!
You clearly went to good mother school haha!!
x
look at that little princess face! it was worth it :)
I hated character things like that as a child…but I've got a triple dose of it now! Welcome to my world!
Been forever since I've seen you, hope all is well!
Ha! Too adorable, even in that tacky gown…she somehow rocks it, Kate! xo
What? No, that's gorgeous, honey. And she wears it so well.
:)
She's cute! I succumbed to the evils of Disney branded things a while ago. So be it.
Hahaha… that would be my biggest nightmare, too, if I had a girl! ;) But hey – she's happy, right?
Yes, she's SO happy. And I'm sure it'll fall apart after 3 washings, so there's that.
You are a good Mom. She looks so pleased with herself! Reminds me of the time I succombed to Matt's begging for a plastic Halloween costume in a box like his friend Benjamin's. Total junk that ripped apart halfway through the school party. But he was so happy. And I was cringing the whole time.
We have a few of these in our house too. One I finally broke down and bought, the others from grandparents, friends… This nightgown looks pretty tame. You should see the one my inlaws gave Annie. It's shiny layered with chiffon-y material…it looks like a cake.
