I discovered “Mr. Wind” on Wide Open Spaces a while ago and kept the link in my running list of “blog stuff.” It’s just so sweet and I crack up every time I watch it.

I have a soft spot for the misunderstood underdogs of the world. So glad that Mr. Wind finally met someone who “gets” him.

Also? This made me laugh so hard I cried. Big gulping tears of stopityou’rekillingme. Yup – just read it again to see if I still think so, and tears are now rolling down my cheeks. Okay – maybe it’s just me, but it’s a short post and worth a minute or two.

I have been slacking on this site for all of my rock star-ness on my others… BUT I did write a real post this week. It will be on DC Metro Moms next week though.

I didn’t get around to any fiction either – mainly because I have to really think about the part that comes next. It’s based on something real so I have to do a little research to refresh my memory.

So today I’m just posting something that makes me happy. I finally saw 500 Days of Summer yesterday (typical – I’m very often late to the party when it comes to movies) and I loved this scene that takes place right after he “gets the girl.”

The only thing that bothers me about this clip is that it seems to be shortened. I know that there was a part when he looks in a mirror and sees Han Solo looking back at him. I thought that was genius. I’ve had a few of those moments myself. But maybe not the Han Solo part. I wouldn’t say Princess Leia either…maybe Kelly from Charlie’s Angels. Because she was just as bad ass as she was pretty.

So much has been going on this week that I’ve had very little time to think about writing anything of substance.

I have an idea – but then it gets late and I still have to clean up and I’ve had maybe just a little too much wine and all I want to do is catch up on my stories (that would be the terrible television shows that I became addicted to during my maternity leave three years ago).

So I’m just going to post this little gem that I found on LiLu’s blog the other week. It makes me happy. It reminds me of the beach. It reminds me of being in my twenties and hanging out with fun gay boys who like to dance and tell me how gorgeous I am without trying to grab my boob. Is it sad that I reminisce about the gay men in my past and not the straight ones? (Did I actually say “boob”? – too much wine…) I’ll just assume it means that I’m happily married.

Anyway – this is adorable. Enjoy.
