Yes Sir, That’s My Baby…

I’m so in love with my tree this year… And if you think that that sounds ridiculous, then you never read this.

Anyway – my photography skills are mediocre at best but I did try. Seriously, I think I took more pictures than a new mother does the day she brings her baby home from the hospital.

Since my actual children refuse to be still (let alone wear clothes) for a nice holiday photo, I might have to consider using one of the images above for our holiday card. I’m just kidding of course – like I ever get around to sending out cards…

I had some even better shots, but those damn human children keep leaning into the branches, knocking bows askew and breaking ornaments.

Let go of the apple and back away from the tree. Slowly!

Don’t give me that look. And for god’s sake do something about your hair!

But I must say – if Oliver was my only child, this would definitely be our (theoretical) holiday card:

Okay – so maybe the tree isn’t really my favorite baby… MAYBE!

hah! i like how you used bows instead of hooks. i'll get to see it all in person at the end of the week! (unless you're like my parents and you take everything down the day after christmas)

I don't blame you – that is one beautiful tree, and the human child next to it is no slouch either :).

I have to confess, I've always wished I could have a Christmas tree, I know just how I'd decorate it… Menorahs it is though. Beautiful lights, but not as much fun to put out and definitely less wow factor.

Oh that last picture is the BEST! Love your tree. I actually let my kids help decorate this year. A first. And I only rearranged about half after they went to bed.

You're right – that would make the perfect holiday card. How cute is he??

    Beautiful tree!

Our tree came crashing down a couple of days ago as we were eating breakfast. It scared the bejeezus out of us and made Annie cry. Nothing says happy holidays like the sound of ornaments smashing into a thousand pieces.

Beautiful boy and beautiful tree! The boys helped decorate the lower half of our tree this year, as usual. Let's just say that I had to go back in a few hours later and ensure the back side of the tree had some decoration. The top of the thing was loaded down, courtesy of my husband, and the lower half was pretty darn sparse!

How funny are you? I loved your pictures. I think you did a fabulous job! And seriously, a gorgeous tree, that really is practically as exciting as a new baby! Plus, it lets you sleep at night and it doesn't poop! : )

I'm a total tree and ornament freak – buying ornaments and hiding them in the tree. When we take it down my husband always asks, "where did this one come from"? and I say, "Oh, we've had that one for years; don't you remember it?" In my defense, I have admitted to him that I'm an addict and he plays along with me, knowing that my stash is hidden within the branches of the Christmas tree.

Your tree is gorgeous and the cutie touching your beloved apple ornament is also gorgeous!!!
