…that I let them do this…
…or that I think they’re total geniuses for coming up with it.
Best mom ever.

Ha! That is totally genius!!
Future engineers, I tell ya.
Totally awesome! I want to do that now! haha!
That's one of those things where I'm totally bummed to be a grown up. That slide would be way to small for me.
That's great! Doesn't look TOTALLY unsafe, Mom. Looks like the angle and length of the table would have prevented a high speed accident. Adorable!
Ok, that looks like seriously great fun. I'm impressed!
Definitely the best mom ever! Seriously! The question is, how can you make an adult-sized one?
That is awesome! I would have left them alone to play with their invention, too. They seem to actually be sharing, not causing physical harm to one another and it's a relatively mild activity. And it did give you a couple peaceful minutes, right? that makes it all worth it. =]
you really are best mom ever. thats AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
i want a turn!!!!!!!!
Choose genius every time.
It works for me.
Love these pictures! I agree they are little geniuses and engineers in the making, but I am most impressed by the creativity – taking objects meant for one purpose and combining them for a whole new purpose. Very impressive! Of course I am their Grandmother so I can brag. And you are the world's greatest Mom!
I think this is FAB! I love love it. I'd also like my turn. How much can that table hold? I'll bring my own giant bunny for a sled.
You're hilarious. I love that.
That is kind of awesome. At least you didn't let them hold scissors in their hands while jumping like I recently did… with photos of course.
Hey, I believe I won one of your giveaways!! I need to sort through my emails and I'll be in touch!
You are a much more tolerant mom than I am! No wonder your kids look so happy:)
I love it but then I rode in silk sleeping bags down my grandparents stair case! Good winter activity! did they time the races?
Ah, yes, this has been done in my house before too! Haha… yes, we are moms of boys!!
Oh man! Can I come over???? They are awesome! And so are you for letting them do it and taking pictures for us!
fun!! at least you're supervising! :)
Or is it worse that I, an adult, so want to do that!!! :)
I am rolling laughing :) That's the kind of thing January always brings!
You are the best mom ever. And it's fine…I mean, there's a ginormous stuffy to break the fall.
Definitely awesome for thinking them genius. :) Love their creativity and that you documented it for us (and them).
WOW! Your kids are awesome.
Just think, if it weren't for the blog you'd have been all over that.
Haha! Love this. I think you're a cool mom for photographing them doing this. Because you're encouraging imagination and creativity. And everyone knows imaginative kids turn into geniuses.
Ha, I'm so with you. The other day, our baby was licking the plate glass window at a coffee shop. My mother's first thought was "Argh! Germs!" and mine was, "Ha, I wonder whether I can get outside to photograph that before she stops?"
You think just like I do…my kids do stuff like that and I'm like, "Hold on…lemme grab the camera" and they look at me in shock like, "you're not gonna yell at us??"
That is awesome and looks like so much fun.
Ha! I love it…you are a great mom, Kate! xo
um, this is a really good idea- i'm totally doing this. lol.
I used to go off the top bunk in a plastic sled.
Can I just say that my daughter would do the exact same thing
I think it is wonderful that they came up with it and wonderful that you caught it on camera!
You are one fabulously fun mama. And I would prob let the dude do it too. Ah ha ha. Gave you a shout out today!
That's awesome!!
That's awesome!!! We totally slid down a spiral staircase on a crib mattress when I was little so maybe I'm not the best judge, but that looks like a blast!
They ARE brilliant. And you ARE the best mom ever.
Wow! Sometimes my 3 year old is on here when I am clicking through blogs and she would have immediately run to see if she could do that herself. My my would she have fun. And it would take her a LONG time. It might just be genius to allow her to try. Except that I am having my 3rd in a week and I think I need my two existing children out of casts and all that nonsense.
Looks fun though – I would so be in after a few glasses of wine!
I just found your blog trhough Scary Mommy and think it is great. I am now following and I am headed over the check out the design blog.
When we got our couch for the family room, I said, it must be "fortable" and the salesman looked at me like I was crazy. Boys need to be able to build forts and slides.
Loooks like fun, weee!
