In My Opinion, You Can Never Have Enough:

1. Icing on your cupcake (but only if it’s the homemade kind – the canned stuff is sub-par).

2. Butter on your baked potato (unless you have a dairy allergy and have to use fake stuff like Molly McButter – it’s just not the same).

3. Help with a newborn in the house (unless this involves family members that make you feel like you are 7 years old and playing with dolls).

4. Pairs of black heels (because regardless of what our male contemporaries think – they are all TOTALLY different).*
*This of course only applies to women – and drag queens.

5. Time to do nothing with your children (unless they are whining and crying – then they should go immediately to daycare where that magical woman turns them into pod people for the day).

6. Comments on a post (come on – this is a blog!).

7. Memories of great times with your friends that have nothing to do with the opposite sex (unless you are gay – and then you have to imagine that you have a whole group of friends where no one has ever hooked up. What? So I like The L Word).

8. Glasses of wine to come up with a lame list of things that you can never have enough of (and the inclination to think ending sentences with prepositions is just fine and no one will notice).

9. Respect and appreciation from your spouse/partner (finally – one that applies to all!).

10. Friends that remember you as you were in the past – and love you all the more for it.

Here, Here! I’ll raise my glass to that one. Although I maybe would change #4 to shoes in general (being 5’11”) heels aren’t a mainstay in my closet.

I only have one pair of black heels. I paid a ton of money for them and they are fabulous! I think I get to wear them once a year.

Wine is my friend…you can never have too much!

And I totally agree with comments! I love those too.

I’ll tell you something you can have enough of – babies who wake up every two hours all night long. So tired.

    Very cute list.

Nice list. Although I don’t wear heels because I am the same height as my spouse. But I do agree with the cute shoe idea. And purses. Cute purses.

But you forgot caffeine! How are we supposed to get through life with short people without copious amounts of caffeine?

Great list. Cupcakes with homemade frosting, wine yummy.

But alas I to have given up heels (I’m 5’10”) so I’ll just say more shoes.

Lots of tall women on here… I’ll be the first jealous 5’3″ one to comment…

I love your list, Kate. And I think I’m going to buy you a t-shirt that I saw the other day that says, “comment junkie.”

Seriously, if I can find it, you’re getting it.=)

I don’t wear heals anymore (too tall, too used to comfy shoes) but I love your list anyway!

And you can count on me for comments ’till the cows come home.

EatPlayLove – Okay – so pick a type of shoe (flats, flip flops, whatever) that you are told you have too many of (and that they are “all the same” – when you KNOW they are not).

Connie – I know – the heels thing is kind of becoming more of a flashback for me too. Now that I don’t have as much get ready time for work, I tend to wear heeled sandals in the summer and heeled boots in the winter. But I probably have several pairs of each that could be considered similar.

Christy – Another one I can relate to… But even when my kids wake up now, I don’t think it’s that bad since it was INSANE when I was getting up with newborn twins every two hours. If that memory isn’t birth control – I don’t know what is.

Melissa – Back to the heels…but yes, it applies to pretty much all accessories. And I agree about the caffeine (especially when you are up all night with babies – I think Christy would probably agree with you too).

Suzie – You can always count on me for a glass of wine. Why don’t you do a continuation of the list on your blog. Would your #1 be nosy old people at the park that point out when your child is eating trash?

Renee – Really re-thinking my choice of “heels”… But I’m glad we’re in total agreement about cupcakes. I would expect nothing less of you.

Ainsley – I don’t exactly consider myself a “junkie” – but I do like to feel the love. I thought anyone with a blog could relate to that one. Although it’s not exactly true…I feel sorry for the people who are bombarded with comments (like hundreds) – they miss out on the community side of blogging. And Kum Ba Yah and all that.

Annastasia – I know – but you always find fabulous non-heeled shoes.

I like to feel the love, too. I didn’t think of “junkie” as a bad word.. just funny since the shirt was made for bloggers and we can all relate to that.=)

You can always count on me for the love.

    (The friend/bloggy kind of love)
